Dorothy Elizabeth (Doolittle) Wilson

Dorothy Elizabeth Wilson, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018.  She was 95.  Dorothy grew up in Binghamton, attending North High School.  She worked and retired from Ansco.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Primitive Methodist Church.  Her family, bowling, travel- especially Goose Rocks Beach, card parties and eating out were her passions.  Dorothy was predeceased by her mother and father, Susan and William Doolittle; husband, John Wilson; sister, Marian (Gerry) Shaw; brother, Allen (Muriel) Doolittle; sister-in-law, Doris Hughes; and a very close cousin and wife, Thomas (Ruth) Doolittle.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen (Richard) Koffs; two grandchildren, Lauren Koffs and Jonathan (Melissa) Koffs; two great grandchildren, Stephanie and Clayton Koffs; brother-in-law, Ike Hughes; beloved nieces, Barbara Reynolds, June Illsley and Sue (Robert) Fitzgerald; several great nieces and nephews; long time friends as well as caregivers, Mary B., Keesa and all her crew, Maria and Anthony; many friends and wonderful neighbors.  Mom will be missed by all who go on without her.  We know she is walking, catching up with her family, enjoying the salt air and eating all the McDonald hamburgers and milky ways she can.  We love you and miss you mom.  Yes we checked, it’s official.  Donations in Dorothy’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.  Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Tuesday at 11am with burial in Riverhurst Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10am until the time of service.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.jfricefuneralhome.com.
