Paul Cooper

Paul Cooper, 84 of Johnson City went to be his Lord peacefully on April 20, 2018.  He was predeceased by his brother, Sam Cooper.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia; daughter, Becky (Paul) Abel of Gillingham, Kent, England; two step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Cooper and Toni Alger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Paul served in the Navy Reserves as well as the Marine Corp.  He was a retired Johnson City fireman with 29 years of service.  Paul enjoyed golf, bowling and fishing. 

Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Monday at 3pm with Rev. Kidd officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2pm until the time of service.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s memory to Primitive Methodist Church for the PM Bible Camp or Gideon’s Bible.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.jfricefuneralhome.com.
