Elma Mae (Ellis) Card, 95, of Johnson City, NY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon, September 29, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest & Allene (Brigham) Ellis; husband, Harold L. Card, daughter, Lorraine Card and son-in-law, Raymond Mills; sister, Cecelia Bicknell and brothers, Howard, Ernest and Robert Ellis. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Mills, Carolyn (George) Kolba, Patricia (Richard) Dupree, Evelyn (John) Hofstra and Nancy (David) Cole; 16 grandchildren; many great, great-great, and great-great-great grandchildren; siblings, Julia Kulas, Raymond (Louise) Ellis and Shirley (Peter) Uhrenic; sister-in-law, Beverly (Scott) Strong and also many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved with all her heart. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed her flower gardens and the beauty of all nature and was always a good listener and gave sound advice. She was a member of Westover United Methodist Church, Johnson City, NY. Elma and her husband traveled throughout the United States and they spent many years in Florida where she combed the beaches collecting seashells for her arts & crafts projects and line danced. Rummikub and UNO became her games of choice in her later years, which she especially enjoyed playing with her great grandchildren. She also traveled to many foreign countries with her family. The family would also like to thank Elma’s neighbors, Bob and Kay Conrad and Wilma Ludlum for their kindness. Her family will receive friends and relatives at JF Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main St., Johnson City, NY on Sunday, October 7th from 3-5 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home with calling hours beginning at 10 AM with the Rev. Dennis Ruda, Pastor of All Saints National Catholic Church, Johnson City, NY officiating. Burial will follow at Maine Cemetery, Maine, NY.
