Thomas R (Bob) Koval,92 of Port Crane & Constantia NY, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2018 after several years of battling Pulmonary Fibrosis. He entered the gates of Heaven hand in hand with his beloved wife, Betty, the Lord and his faithful fur baby Butch at his side. He was predeceased by his parents, John & Stella Koval, infant twin brother John Richard; grandson Bryan Reynolds; in-laws Edward Cermak, Warren Van Kuren, Marion Stratton and Gene Webb. He is survived by his son Daniel (Dee) Koval, Daughter Sandra (Dennis) Walker, Sisters Joan Cermak and Lucille VanKuren, Brothers Donald (Ann) Koval, John (JoAnn) Koval, Grandchildren Timothy Koval, Michael (Margo) Reynolds, Vinni Montgomery, and Cory (Tara Menard) Montgomery. Also several nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. A veteran of WWII serving in the Merchant Marines, Bob retired from Kroehler Manufacturing as an Upholster. He proudly built his own house in Port Crane, where he and Betty raised their family before retiring to Oneida Lake, He served on the vestries of St Mark's Episcopal Church, Chenango Bridge and Trinity Episcopal Church, Constantia, NY. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and spending time with family and friends. After his wife Betty passed in 2008, in her honor he cooked for the hungry through the St Mark's Canteen Outreach Program. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bob's caregivers at St Louise Manor for their patience and kindness. The family will receive friends at St Mark's Episcopal Church, River Road, Chenango Bridge NY, on Saturday June 16, 2018, from 1-2 PM followed by a Memorial service officiated by Father Mark Giroux. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St Mark's Episcopal Canteen Fund.
