Cletius C Barton

Cletius went to our lord on Tuesday, August 22, 2023  after a short battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Cletius and Hilda Kester, her husband Lewis Barton,and her son Cris Barton. She was survived by her son Karl Barton, granddaughter Holly Taugher, and her 2 great granddaughters Brianna  and Karli Taugher,whom she enjoyed spending time with and watching them grow into successful beautiful young women. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends that she considered family. She liked to volunteer to help others. At one time she was a den Mother for Cub Scouts and participated with working at the Chow pantry for St. Mary's, as well as serving funeral dinners at St. James Church. Cletius had also experienced being a Eucharistic minister. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30am Tuesday September 12, at St. James Church 147 Main St. Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the church at 9:30am until the time of the mass. The family would like to thank Lourdes Hospice and family friend Colleen Sherwood for her great care during Cletius time in need.
