Edith R. Baker

JOHNSON CITY - Edith R Baker 77 of Johnson City NY passed suddenly on July 11, 2022. Edie was born June 23 1945 in Oneonta NY. Upon graduation from BCC she started her career at Singer Link. While working at Singer Link she completed her Master’s Degree at SUNY-B. After earning her Master’s she was employed by Hinman Howard and Kattell In Binghamton. Edie later retired from there. Edie was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Dawn (Victor) Binghamton, Richard (Mark) Jay FL , Jacqueline (Rick) Northampton MA, Brett (Veena) , South Borough MA. Edie was a very active member at the local Senior centers where she had many close friends. Edie loved singing , music and attending local concerts in the parks. She also enjoyed traveling with her Grandniece Cari Slater as well as spending time with her Grandniece Jessie Slater. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday July 21st at the JF Rice Funeral Home 150 Main Street Johnson City New York Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be private.
