Fred Lenga, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday morning June 18, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by parents Teofil and Katherine Lenga. His sisters Genevieve Severance, Ruby Fabrizio, Terry Yevchak, and Helen Leonard. Also his brothers, Eddie, Bill, Kye, and Henry, and many loved family members. He is survived by his best friend and life partner of 62 years, Irene, his two daughters, Michele Kuzel (John) and Cindi Lundy (Scott), grandchildren: Kyle (Jen), Jason (Liz), Branden (Lily), Taylor (Austin), and great grandchildren: Liam, Caleb, and Irene. He is also survived by his very special sister Sophie Raychel and by his best “furry” friend, Kasia. Upon his retirement from Universal Instruments, Fred spent his time tending to his yard and his flowers. He also loved sports. He was a CYO basketball coach, a fan of all New York teams, especially the Yankees. Fred was a devout member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where a viewing will be held on Tuesday morning, June 22 at 9am. It will be followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lourdes Hospice in Fred’s memory.
