John E. VanLoke of Binghamton, passed away after years of struggle with a multitude of health
issues. John is a graduate of Hancock Central School and has an associates from Delhi and a BA
from Oneonta-SUNY. He was a man of many talents who was devoted to his faith and his
family. John loved gardening, art and music and shared these passions with many. John was
predeceased by his parents Sophie and Edward VanLoke, and by his brother-in-law Frank
White. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathryn (Millar) VanLoke, and his adult children,
Edward VanLoke and Elizabeth (VanLoke) and Stuart Leluan. John is also survived by his
beautiful grandchildren, Aiden and Abigail VanLoke, his sister Mary (VanLoke) White, his
brother Cyril VanLoke and wife Katherine (Thielle) VanLoke. He also leaves behind many
nephews and nieces to whom he was devoted.
A Funeral Mass will be offered 10:30 AM on May 4th at St. James Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
