Sharon L. McMahon

CASTLE CREEK - Sharon Lynn McMahon, 72, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her home in Castle Creek. Sharon was born August 11, 1948 in Johnson City, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. Moss Sr. and Viola G. Moss, and one brother, William A. Moss Jr. Sharon will be missed by her surviving spouse of 46 years, Roger M. McMahon, daughter, Michele R. Kretsch (Michael), grandsons, Casey M. Kretsch, Corey A. Kretschall of Jamesville, granddaughters, Michaela P. McMahon, Abbigayle M. McMahon, Amber V. McMahon all of Georgia, and stepson, Michael P. McMahon, Georgia. Sharon graduated from Binghamton Central High school in 1966. She was a New York State employee for 36 years working both at DOT and VESID. She was a dedicated worker and caring co-worker. Sharon enjoyed golfing and bowling. She camped with her husband and many special friends at Forest Lake Campground for over 25 summer seasons and after retirement spent the winters in Myrtle Beach, SC. Above all else, Sharon took great pride in her daughter and grandchildren. She was a caring, devoted and loving mother and grandmother who loved attending all theiractivities and important milestones. Sharon was a kind and generous person who was blessed to have many close family and friends who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be held at J. F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main Street, Johnson City, Wednesday, at 10 am. Burial will follow immediately after at Chenango Valley Cemetery, 120 Nowlan Road Binghamton, NY.
