BINGHAMTON - Stephen Samsonik, Jr., 91, of Binghamton, NY, went home to our Lord peacefully on Tuesday July 26th 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Mary Samsonik, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann of 67 years, sons Stephen, III, Michael (Karen) David (Bethany) daughter Barbara (Philip) Nazak, one grandson Mark, Granddaughter’s Alexandra, Keeley, Caroline, and Shannon, and many nieces nephews and cousins. Stephen was born and raised in Endicott, NY, attended Union Endicott High school, Class of 49, where he was a drummer in the Fyfe and Drum Corp, enlisted in the Navy, and worked for IBM 34 years. He enjoyed archery and hunting, building and remodeling, and sailing his canoe. He always felt his greatest accomplishment was to be able to build a beautiful home in the country for his family. He loved being a cub scout leader, riding his snowmobile, plowing snow, mowing lawn and gardening. He loved his grandchildren very much and was a great supporter of his son’s polka band. We will all miss his funny jokes, his mandolin and harmonica playing, and all the good times. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery following the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Stephen’s name to Saint James pantry or mercy house in Endicott. Arrangements are by The JF Rice Funeral Home, Inc. 150 Main Street Johnson City, NY.
