William Briggs Obituary

BINGHAMTON - William Briggs, 89 of Binghamton, passed away after a short illness on April 28, 2022. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Clara, his parents Francis and Mary; son William Briggs, siblings Raymond, Marge, Bobby. He is survived by his loving children Debra and Timothy Weyant, Edward Briggs, Diane Chilson, Michael Briggs (Robert Gavin). Five grandchildren Renée (Tracey) Pierce, Billy (Jenna) Briggs, Tim (Bri) Weyant, Amberlee (Mykle) Weyant, Danny (Katlyn) Clark and five great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. His faithful dog, Casper. William retired from Broome County Transit. At William’s request, there will be a private graveside service at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Thank you to the staff at Lourdes Hospital Ross 3 and Mercy House. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in William’s name to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N McKinley Ave, Endicott NY 13760.
