ENDICOTT - William D. Carter, 65, of Endicott, entered eternal rest on Thursday evening, May 20, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Bill is predeceased by his parents, William G. and Alice Carter, his in-laws, Joseph and Theresa Wega, and his Godfather, Carmine Crescente. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lucy and their four daughters; Marialice Carter (Mikal), Claire (Andrew) Cox, Brittany (Peter) Fabian, and Hayley (Peter) Kishpaugh; his grandchildren Adeline, Evelyn, Jack, Finn, Vera, Ian, Benjamin, Nicholas, Martin, Theodore, Matthew, and William; his siblings Bradley (Judy) Carter, Kathleen (Gary) Ives, James (Amanda) Carter, Laura (Ken) Hoff, David (Anne) Carter; his Godmother Loretta Crescente; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to being a dedicated husband and loving father, Bill had a gift for finding joy in the simple pleasures: time with family and friends, music, gazing at the moon, fishing in Canada with his family, a hot cup of coffee, a cold beer, and an occasional cigar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Main Street, Johnson City, New York. The family will receive friends at church Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until Mass time. Expressions of sympathy in Bill’s memory may be made to Sisters of Life, Suffern, New York; Mercy House of the Southern Tier; or Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Foundation, Binghamton, New York.
